Our Approach
We have a tried and tested way of working
Experience it.

Learn it.
Reflect on it.
Apply it.
Built around your team
Every team is different, which is why we'll take the time to understand your team, the challenges or opportunities you're facing and what you'd like to achieve before designing your Step Outside experience.
Perhaps communication has become difficult. The team has grown quickly. New managers are finding their feet. People are working in silos. Change has knocked confidence. Or maybe things are going well and you simply want to help a good team become even better.
We'll have a conversation before the day to understand your team, the situation, and crucially, what you'd like to be different afterwards.
We'll then use that insight to shape the emphasis of the day, choosing the most relevant discussions, challenges and reflections from the programme to suite your needs.
No special fitness or outdoor experience will be needed. The activities are designed to get everyone involved, whatever their ability.

Using the outdoor to bring the indoor to life
We'll start by exploring the areas you'd like to develop, whether that's leadership, communication, decision-making, managing change or something else that's important to your business.
Explore the challenge

Put ideas into practise
Stop, reflect and learn
Turn learning into action
Through a combination of engaging indoor sessions and accessible outdoor challenges, participants will have opportunities to explore new approaches, test their thinking and experience different ways of working.
Throughout the day, we'll take time to discuss what happened, what we've learned and how those insights relate to the challenges people face in their everyday roles.
Before the day finishes, participants will agree practical actions they can take back into the workplace, with clear commitments and responsibilities to help maintain momentum.

What does a Step Outside day look like?
You don't need to know exactly what your development day should look like, that's our job.
Tell us a little about your team, what's happening at the moment and what you'd like to be different.
From there, we can explore what a Step Outside experience could look like for you.
